Kerry Kick has been the face of Line Dance Thursdays since it started here at THE RANCH over 10+ years ago! She brings with her a love of dance that goes back over 40 years and was developed with her BFA in Dance Choreography from UCI in the 1990s. She has grown up dancing in OC since 1985, performed 3 years in local OC musical theater, and ran a dance studio for 2 years in Atlanta, GA. She has been an instructor for Stagecoach and numerous other special events, a judge for competitions for 10+ years, and co-choreographed favorite line dances still done at local saloons such as Boys Round Here, High Class, House Party, and Kickin Dust. She loves finding and teaching new dances to contemporary, country, and popular music and always looks forward to seeing new faces on the floor and helping everyone share her passion for dancing.
For many years, Dev has been choreographing, performing, and teaching country dancing all over Southern California. Being both a professional singer & dancer, Dev loves to entertain and create a fun rapport with her class as well as her one-on-one private lessons. Dev has also performed alongside country music stars such as Clay Walker, Ricky Van Shelton and Mark Chesnutt. She has also worked for major TV networks and performed live shows for: CBS "Hoedown" - The Ellen DeGeneres Show, NBC's "Baywatch" and Disney's "Toy Story" at The El Capitan Theater in Hollywood - to name a few. She brings both classic and new dances to the floor. Come out and boot-scoot with her on Friday Nights at 6:30pm and 7:15pm!
Shelly started her dancing career at the age of 8 with ballet lessons in Arroyo Grande, CA. She continued her dance training while attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, receiving a minor in dance and participating as a member of the college’s dance company. It wasn't until 2000, after visiting a friend near Nashville, that Shelly discovered her love for country music. In 2007, Shelly decided to sign up for as many Line Dance lessons and Two-Step/Partner lessons that she could fit into her schedule. She was able to combine her love for teaching dance and country music when she started getting requests to teach private lessons and was asked to substitute for her instructor. Shelly has a passion for helping others learn to dance and uses this passion to teach at THE RANCH Saloon on Saturdays at 6:30pm and 7:15pm!
Kimberly always loved dancing ballet, tap and jazz at a very young age. She found her passion for Country music, 2 step and line dancing in 1990 after watching a friend dancing the 10-step and it became her mission to learn all the local line dances. In 1991, she began providing private lessons and stepped onto her first stage to teach at The Barn in Tustin. She also taught at the Country Rock Cafe in Lake Forest and most notably the World Famous Crazy Horse at the Irvine Spectrum. Kimberly has choreographed Save a Horse, Dirty Boots and co-choreographed “Workin for a Livin” with Shelly Graham. Kimberly has been a dance instructor at THE RANCH Saloon since opening in 2011. You can find her teaching with her bright smile, infectious humor and love of sharing as a Guest Dance Instructor here at THE RANCH Saloon! Kimberly enjoys teaching Country dancing for all ages!

Hey Welcome to THE RANCH Saloon! What we're going to do is we're going to show you the basic two-step, hand positioning and foot work. Are you ready to go Sandy? Here we go. First of all the man just places his hand out, the woman places her right hand on top, her left hand is just below the shoulder and the man's right hand is just on the small of the woman's back. That hand is used for pushing and pulling and letting her know that it's time to go. So the basic two step is done at a quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, the woman starts off with her right, the man with her left. Are we ready to go? What we're going to do is we're going to dance in place and then we're going to go. Set. Quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow. So there you go, the basic two-step. What we're going to do is we're going to practice it again, this time we're going to go around twice. Are we ready to go? Here we go. Set. So there you go, we gave you a little taste of what it looks like, two trips around. So now what we're going to do is were going to do it to music. Ready? Here we go.
[Country music starts] Set. Quick, quick, slow, slow [voice fades out, country music continues]. So there you go, that was the basic two-step to music. The next video you'll see will be a little taste of what you'll get when you come down to THE RANCH Saloon. See you on the dance floor!
In the last video, we showed you the basic two-step, in this video we're going to show you the basic two-step with a basic two-step turn. The positioning is exactly the same, so let's go ahead and show them, Sandy. Man's left hand, woman's right hand, her left hand on his right arm, and the man's right hand on her lower back. And basically what we're going to do is on the basic two-step turn with a quick, quick, slow, slow, the man is going to move his hand on the first slow. On the quick, quick, slow, slow, he moves it to here, and on the first quick she turns around with assistance of my right hand to get her around. So let's try that again. Quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow. So there you go that is the basic turn. So what we're going to do now is were going to show you as we go around on the floor, we're going to do it a couple of times. Are we ready to go? Here we go. Quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow.
