Runner

THE RANCH Restaurant is looking for Food Runners that enjoy working in an upscale, fast-paced environment. Candidates should be experienced food runners who understands that their role facilitates the smooth flow of service between the front and back of house. Our ideal candidate Is one that takes initiative, and works efficiently, both independently as well as within a team.

Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities are representative of those typically performed. Note: this position may not perform all of these duties and/or may perform similar related tasks not listed here.

  • Provide friendly, gracious, motivated, detail oriented and responsive service to create a memorable dining experience for all of our guests.
  • Memorize the menu, and ingredients: including seasonal changes and specialty menus.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders.
  • Relay important information between kitchen and serving staff.
  • Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature.
  • Memorize table and seat position locations to ensure food is promptly delivered to the accurate guests.
  • Keep accurate measure of assigned tables dining experience and assist the chef when to proceed with the next course.
  • Support restaurant staff by delivering any needed items.
  • Keep items in the expediter station restocked.
  • Assure overall guest service and a clean working environment that meets local, state and federal regulations and guidelines regarding safety and sanitation.
  • Strong communication is a must, as you will work closely with the managers, kitchen staff, bartenders, and servers to provide guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 2 years minimum experience in fine dining hospitality.
  • High energy and stamina are required for this role.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Availability to consistently work nights, including weekends/holidays.
  • Will need a valid CA Food Handler's Card.
  • Wine, Spirit and Cocktail knowledge a plus.
  • ABC Server Permit a plus.

Job Type: Part Time

Hours: Afternoon and Evening Availability, including Weekends and Holidays

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
